Adventure Is Therapy
Team Hunt Adventure (THA) is our ‘adventure’ platform to spread awareness of the healing benefits that simple outdoor adventures provide. We overland, camp, hike, bike, canoe, and explore to show that being in nature has healing benefits to mind, body and spirit. Hunt has blossomed in the last three summers since we started Team Hunt Adventure. His social skills, appetite, physical strength, creativity, language, and attitude have improved tremendously. We weave in therapy and educational opportunities as we travel and the benefits have been amazing for our whole family. Getting outside increases creativity and imagination. Adventure is good for the soul.
2020 Giving Expedition COVID-19 Update
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, these unprecedented times, and in an effort to stay healthy we are postponing the 2020 Giving Expedition. We hope to travel, overland, camp, and do good things soon. We will explore again but for now we stay home to stay safe. We are grateful for your enduring support of Team Hunt and extend our sincere wishes for your good health and the well being of our community.

The Giving Expedition
In 2020, THA will spread hope through an awareness, volunteer, and charity giving campaign called “The Giving Expedition”. During the expedition, THA will visit multiple states and countries investing our time, energy, and granting funds to spread hope for children and families with special needs.
Our investments will be localized to the community agencies we visit who have existing outdoor based therapy and/or activity programs. Missions we look to support will have programs that assist children and adults with special needs, along with their families, to experience the healing benefits that nature provides.
If your organization meets these parameters, we welcome you to fill out our Grant Application Form to participate in this year’s Giving Expedition and apply for funding.

Important Note Regarding Funding
Team Hunt and Team Hunt Adventure are the driving force and fundraising efforts behind The Hunt Michael Hollis Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle TN. The Hunt Michael Hollis Fund supports families who have loved ones with mitochondrial disease, developmental delays, and special needs through raising awareness and money to help find a cure and to provide various therapy programs. We are a 401c3 non-profit and none of the money we raise goes towards Hunt’s therapies, medical needs, or our travel.
